Dirkie Nell draws from the colour and life of European flower markets and everyday botanical scenes. Her Flower Market series — covering Paris, Lisbon, and Amsterdam — captures the energy of market stalls with bold palettes and playful compositions. Alongside the market prints, pieces like Yellow Tulips In a Vase bring the same vivid sensibility to simpler still-life subjects. Her Black and White Stripe Cat adds a graphic, character-driven note to the collection.

Print Formats and Sizing

Nell's illustrative work with its clean lines and saturated colours prints sharply as a fine art print on 225g matte paper. The matte surface keeps the bold colour fields rich without unwanted glare. Paper sizes run from A3 through 50x70cm, 70x100cm, up to A0. Frame in oak for a warm European feel that complements the market scenes, black for a more graphic presentation, or walnut brown for depth. All produced with archival pigment inks in our Berlin studio.

For the flower market prints especially, a canvas print on 400g cotton adds a painterly quality that suits the illustrative brushwork. Canvas prints are available in 30x40cm, 50x70cm, and 70x100cm, with optional floating frames for a gallery-style finish.
