Laszlo Moholy-Nagy — Bauhaus Art Prints

Laszlo Moholy-Nagy (1895-1946) was a Hungarian artist, photographer, and educator who became one of the most influential figures at the Bauhaus. His work united art, technology, and industry in ways that remain foundational to modern visual communication. From constructivist paintings and typography experiments to his pioneering photograms — cameraless photographs made by placing objects directly on light-sensitive paper — Moholy-Nagy consistently pushed the boundaries of what visual art could be.

Our collection spans his constructivist compositions, geometric abstractions, and photographic work, including iconic images like From the Radio Tower, Berlin. These pieces show an artist working at the intersection of geometry, light, and space — rigorous in structure but alive with energy.

Printing and Materials

Each Laszlo Moholy-Nagy print is reproduced in our Berlin studio using archival pigment inks rated for over 100 years of colour stability. The fine art paper prints use 225g matte paper, which captures the sharp geometric edges and tonal contrasts of his constructivist work with precision. The canvas prints use 400g cotton canvas, adding a tactile quality that gives his abstract compositions additional physical presence.

Sizes and Framing

Fine art paper prints are available in A3, 50x70 cm, 70x100 cm, and A0. Canvas prints come in 30x40 cm, 50x70 cm, and 70x100 cm — stretched on a wooden frame, ready to hang. Paper prints can be framed in solid wood — oak, black, or walnut brown. Canvas prints can also be fitted with a floating frame for a gallery-style shadow gap.

Moholy-Nagy's constructivist and Bauhaus work sits well alongside other artists from the same era. If you appreciate early modernist abstraction, you may also enjoy prints by Kurt Schwitters or browse our abstract art prints and museum classics collections.
