Expressive Illustration — Women, Daily Life, and Movement
Nicole Marra is a Berlin-based Brazilian illustrator whose work centres on female figures, everyday moments, and the body in motion. Her digital illustrations have a hand-drawn warmth — loose lines, confident colour choices, and compositions that feel spontaneous rather than constructed. Subjects range from yoga poses and quiet domestic scenes to portraits of women reading, cooking, or simply being present. The work is personal without being private, and that accessibility is a large part of its appeal.
What makes her illustrations work well as prints is their graphic clarity. The flat colour fields and expressive line work hold up at larger sizes without losing their intimacy. A yoga pose that reads as a quick sketch at A3 becomes something more considered at 50×70 cm — the gesture stays loose, but the visual weight increases.
Printing Nicole Marra's Work
All Nicole Marra prints are produced in our Berlin studio using archival pigment inks on 225g matte fine art paper or 400g cotton canvas. The matte paper surface suits her line-driven style particularly well — it keeps the crispness of the digital original while adding a tactile quality that screens cannot replicate. Canvas prints bring additional warmth and texture, which pairs naturally with her colour palette.
Paper prints are available in A3, 50×70 cm, 70×100 cm, and A0. Canvas prints come in 30×40 cm, 50×70 cm, and 70×100 cm. Framing options include oak, black, and walnut brown. The oak frame complements the warm, earthy tones in much of her work, while black creates a clean, graphic contrast.
