Sharyn Bursic is an Australian self-taught artist working in watercolour, acrylic, and oil. Her paintings have a disarming directness — everyday moments rendered in a naive figurative style that feels warm, humorous, and entirely her own. She paints people relaxing, drinking wine, smoking, swimming, tending plants. The subjects are ordinary, but the treatment is anything but: bold colour, simplified forms, and compositions that land somewhere between folk art and modern illustration.
