Doorways as portraits of a place
Henrike Schenk's travel photography treats a doorway the way a portrait treats a face: tiled entrances, an ornate green facade, a Roman door worn soft by weather. One outlier, Purple Lavender Bloom, breaks from architecture into botanical detail, but keeps the same warm, high-key light that runs through the whole set.
Sizes and framing
Every print is available as 225g fine art paper in A3, 50×70cm, 70×100cm and A0, or as 400g cotton canvas in 30×40cm, 50×70cm and 70×100cm. The warm tile tones in Ornate Tiled Entrance or Sunny Green Tile Pattern sit especially well in a Walnut Brown or Oak frame; Black tends to overpower the pastel palette. Canvas prints are also available with a floating frame.
Grouping doorways into a wall
Three or four doorway prints in the same portrait format make an easy, low-effort gallery wall — no need to match colours exactly, since the warm palette does that work for you. For more architectural detail from other cities, see our Urban collection; for a wider European mix, Travel.
