Mareike Bohmer

Mareike Böhmer photographs nature outdoors rather than in a studio, letting natural light do the shaping: a fern lit from behind, sand rippled into abstract lines, a sky mid-sunset. This edit runs nine prints between soft abstraction and quieter botanical and sky studies.

Nature photography that leans abstract

Mareike Böhmer works outdoors, not in a studio, and it shows: Sandy Gradients and Abstract Tree Shadows read almost as paintings, while White Blossoms Bright Sky and Dreamy Floral Bokeh stay closer to botanical study. Sicilian Memories 13 and Summer Sunset 1 add a sky-and-cloud thread that ties the abstract and botanical sides together.

Sizes and framing

Prints are available as 225g fine art paper in A3, 50×70cm, 70×100cm and A0, or as 400g cotton canvas in 30×40cm, 50×70cm and 70×100cm. The soft, low-contrast palette across this set suits Oak or Walnut Brown more than Black, which can flatten the gentle tonal shifts. Canvas prints are also available with a floating frame.

Building a soft, abstract gallery wall

These prints group well as a tonal set rather than a subject-matched one — pick three or four in a similar palette (the warm sand-and-sunset tones, or the cooler green-and-white botanical ones) rather than mixing extremes.
