John Frederik Peto

John Frederik Peto was an American still-life painter who worked in the style of “trompe-l’oeil”, a painting technique which gives the illusion of 3D objects with the use of perspective. His work beautifully depicts the every day, most usually letters and printed ephemera hanging from his notice board.
