Rod MacIver is a nature artist with thirty years of practice in watercolor, acrylic ink, and Sumi brush painting. His work moves between realistic studies of birds and looser, more abstract ink pieces, sometimes within the same body of work.

For twenty years he also published Heron Dance, a nature journal built on the same quiet, patient attention to the natural world that runs through his paintings.
