Vintage Botanicals, Modern Composition

Wild Violets Art is a studio working at the intersection of vintage botanical illustration and modern composition, with some pieces restored from historical plates and others original designs built in the same visual language. Golden Fern Silhouette, Golden Fern Botanical, and Delicate Red Blooms show the range, fine natural detail rendered with a calm, uncluttered hand rather than the busy ornamentation typical of period originals. The studio's broader catalogue also covers classic illustration and wildlife studies, but the botanical work is where the vintage-meets-modern approach reads most clearly.

Choosing a Size and Frame

The fern and floral silhouettes work particularly well as a small grouped set, with three or four botanical prints at A3 in matching frames reading as a considered collection rather than a single purchase. A3 or 50 x 70 cm suits most walls, while larger 70 x 100 cm or A0 formats give a single botanical study real presence in a hallway or living room. Every print is produced on 225g matte fine art paper with archival pigment inks in our Berlin studio, framed in oak, black, or walnut brown, or shipped unframed for grouping and framing yourself.
